About Jen

Jen is an Australian painter based in Northern New South Wales. Working from her studio in the Northern Rivers Region, Jen’s deep attachment to her natural surroundings is reflected within her large-scale abstract paintings.

About Jen’s Work

Jen’s creative path is deeply intertwined with her decades-long meditation practice, which she began in her mid-thirties.

At its core, her work is an inward exploration, as she moves between the polarities of calm and passion, discipline and freedom, she invites viewers to join her in that eternal dance between opposing forces.

Jen infuses her large canvases with spontaneous and exploratory mark-making, and in doing so, she hopes to transfer the energetic resonance of her surroundings. This process creates subtle biomorphic, organic forms reminiscent of and often found in nature. Her paintings then become portals into those experiences.
